Evgeny Kuznetsov does the walking bird to celebrate goals. Now, he’s doing training exercises that literally make him fly.

Evgeny Kuznetzov had plenty of opportunity to showcase his bobblehead-worthy bird walk goal celebration, with 27 goals in the regular season and 12 throughout the playoffs.

The 26-year-old center has been working out in his home town of Chelyabinsk, Russia, with training coach Sergey Kholodov, who is helping Kuznetzov improve his goal scoring–and apparently his celly-ing technique.

Kholodov has titled various video highlights “magic flight” and the aptly-titled “Kuzy fly.”

Kholodov also has Kuznetsov doing a wide variety of other exercises.

Kholodov was at Kuznetzov’s Stanley Cup party on August 15. He provided important analysis of Kuzy’s Cup stand technique: “Personal training. You can see a clear bend in the lower back, which is an indicator of weak stability. Whatever, we’re going to work on it. Otherwise, he’s ready to go. 🤙🏻🏆😁”

Kholodov and Kunetzov have been training together since at least last summer.

Hey, it may look weird, but the results don’t lie.
