Dmitry Orlov and Evgeny Kuznetsov got to party in Moscow with the Stanley Cup during a private party hosted by Alex Ovechkin, but they’ll both be getting their own days with the NHL’s championship trophy in August.
Monday, the Capitals defenseman announced that he’s bringing the Stanley Cup to his hometown in Russia on August 17.

“On August 17 from 13:00 to 16:00 on Novokuznetsk’s Square of Social Activities, residents of the city will have the unique opportunity to take photos with the Stanley Cup and with me,” Orlov, who recently turned 27, said on Instagram.
Orlov is the first player from Novokuznetsk to ever win a Stanley Cup. Orlov defeated his close friend, fellow Novokuznetsk native Sergei Bobrovsky, in the first round of the playoffs.
The Russian defenseman played on the Capitals first pairing with Matt Niskanen during the postseason, registering 8 points in 24 games.
