TJ Oshie’s living his best life, but so is Alex Ovechkin.
A week after having an entire weekend with the Stanley Cup, Ovechkin was given tickets to the World Cup Final between Croatia and France at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium.
Not only did Ovechkin see France win 4-2 in a high-scoring thriller, he also got to take a photo along with the 18-carat-gold World Cup trophy.
An excited Ovechkin posted the photo on his Instagram with the caption “FIFA World Cup !!💪💪.”
He shared this image in his Instagram Story.

His wife Nastya also took this video.
According to For The Win, the World Cup Trophy weights 13.5 pounds and is worth a staggering $20 million. The Stanley Cup, which is 35 pounds of pure silver, is worth $23,478. Much like Stanley, the winning team, France, does not get to keep the trophy forever.
During his time at Luzhniki Stadium, Ovechkin also ran into a bunch of famous footballers.
Ovechkin met former Brazilian national team player, Ronaldinho, who won the World Cup in 2002. Ronaldinho was named FIFA World Player of the Year twice during his illustrious career.
Ovechkin also snapped a pic with Samuel Eto’o, who plays for Cameroon. According to Wikipedia, Eto’o is the most decorated African player of all time, having won the African Player of the Year award a record four times: in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2010. He was third in the FIFA World Player of the Year award in 2005.
Ovechkin met French soccer coach and former player Arsène Wenger, who served as Arsenal’s manager from 1996-2018.

Finally, Ovechkin snapped a pic with Stanislav Cherchesov (left), Russia’s manager of their national team.

Later in the summer, Ovechkin will fly to Spain to see Lionel Messi play with LC Barcelona. The gift was from Capitals players after Ovechkin played in his 1,000th NHL game.
