The parade is over, and the Caps have gone their separate ways for the summer. HOW will you get your hockey fix before Development Camp starts? The Capitals have announced two events featuring a smattering of Caps Alumni: The Bourbon & Cigar Fundraiser, and the Alumni Summer Classic.
The Bourbon & Cigar Fundraiser will take place on June 25 at Top of the Town in Arlington, VA. The event features an open bar, fancy hors d’oeuvres, a live auction, and Caps Alumni to mingle with. Among the players attending are Alan May, Olie Kolzig, Yvon Labre, Mike Knuble, and many more. General admission tickets start at $250. Fans attending will also receive a Capitals-themed whiskey glass and a free cigar.
Fans can purchase tickets to the event here. All proceeds from the event go towards providing scholarships for hockey players in the DC area. This is the second year the Caps have put on this event.
One day later, on June 26, the Caps will be putting on an Alumni Summer Classic at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. Olie Kolzig and Yvan Labre will coach the two teams, with Peter Bondra, Nelson Burton, Frederic Cassivi, Sylvain Cote, John Druce, Chris Ferraro, Peter Ferraro, Alan Hangsleben, Bryan Helmer, Matt Herr, Brent Johnson, Dmitri Khristich, Olie Kolzig, Mike Knuble, Yvon Labre, Craig Laughlin, Alan May, Kelly Miller, Paul Mulvey, Dave Parro, Pat Peake, Matt Pettinger, Errol Rausse and Ken Sabourin on the list of participating alumni.
A few lucky fans will also win the chance to participate in the game. Roster spots are up for auction, via the Caps Handbid website. The winners will get to play in the game, as well as receive two ticket to the Bourbon & Cigar Event. The auction is now open, and closes June 22.
The game starts at 6:30 pm, and is free and open to the public.

The Washington Capitals and Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation announced today alumni participating in the second-annual Bourbon & Cigar Fundraiser benefitting the Washington Capitals Alumni Association (WCAA) Scholarship Fund, as well as details for the Alumni Summer Classic Game.
Bourbon & Cigar Fundraiser
The Bourbon & Cigar Fundraiser will be held Monday, June 25 from 7-10 p.m. at Top of the Town in Arlington, Va. The Bourbon & Cigar Fundraiser will feature a variety of tastings and custom drinks, as well as a free cigar for every attendee, courtesy of Signature Cigars. All guests will also receive a Capitals-branded custom whiskey tasting glass to use throughout the evening.

The Fundraiser will feature an open bar, and premium hors d’oeuvres will be served throughout the evening to complement the selection of fine cigars available to sample while mingling on the rooftop with former Capitals players.

Alumni Summer Classic Game
The Washington Capitals Alumni Association will host an Alumni Summer Classic Game on Tuesday, June 26, at 6:30 p.m. at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. The event is free and open to the general public.

Teams will be coached by Kolzig and Labre.
Fans have the opportunity to bid for a roster spot on Team Labre or Team Kolzig and participate alongside their favorite alumni.
