Selfless TJ Oshie asked fans to stop chanting his name and instead cheer ‘Let’s Go Caps’ while partying

The Capitals partying in DC over the weekend was the stuff of legend. Here’s another fun moment.

As TJ Oshie was leaving Cafe Milano and boarding a bus to the team’s next party destination, he was mobbed by a bunch of enthusiastic fans chanting, “Oshie! Oshie! Oshie! Oshie!”.

Oshie decided that the chant needed to change to include all his teammates so, like the American Hero he is, Oshie began two other chants, “We got the Cup!” and “Let’s go Caps!” instead.

We don’t deserve drunk TJ Oshie and we need to protect him at all costs.

We were also lucky enough to be graced with this photo of Oshie having a good time and Vrana losing his shirt. I just need confirmation from someone that Jakub Vrana has had a glass of water in the last 72 hours.
