Back in September, the arena formerly known as the Verizon Center changed its name to Capital One Arena. As part of the naming rights, Capital One promised special perks for its cardholders.
Wednesday afternoon, Capital One put out a release detailing those perks in effect for tonight’s Game Two viewing party, as well as Games Three and Four at Capital One Arena.
Capital One cardholders have had a special VIP entrance on 6th street all season. The doors to entrance open 15 minutes earlier than the rest of the arena, at 6:45 PM. All fans have to do is present their Capital One debit or credit card at the entrance.
Cardholders can also save 10 percent on concessions and 20 percent on merchandise throughout the arena.
More from the Caps:
Capital One® cardholders will have access to special perks on Wednesday, May 30, during the Washington Capitals Game 2 Viewing Party, presented by Capital One and during Games 3 and 4 at Capital One Arena. As D.C.’s hometown bank, naming rights partner of Capital One Arena, and a proud supporter of the Capitals, Capital One will celebrate its local team and enhance fans’ game-viewing experience with benefits including giveaways and faster entry into the arena through the Capital One VIP cardholder entrance simply by presenting their Capital One credit or debit card at a special entrance for card holders located on 6th Street. These benefits are in addition to those Capital One cardholders enjoy all season-long, including use of the cardholder entrance during all Capitals games, 10 percent off all food and beverage items, and 20 percent off merchandise in the team store.
The Capital One cardholder entrance on 6th Street will open early at 6:45 p.m. tonight for Capital One customers with Game 2 between the Capitals and Vegas Golden Knights broadcast on the jumbotron at 8 p.m.
Admission to the Viewing Party is free, and seating is subject to availability. Concessions will be available from 7-8 p.m.
Tonight’s event will be the second of two Viewing Parties hosted this week by the Capitals and presented by Capital One. Monday’s Game 1 Viewing Party drew more than 12,000 attendees.
