Monday night, the Washington Capitals kept their Stanley Cup dreams alive by shutting out the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-0 in Game Six to force a winner-take-all Game Seven Wednesday night. You could stay home and watch the game… or you could head back to Capital One Arena instead, where the Caps will be hosting, what is likely to be, a very raucous viewing party for Game Seven.
Arena doors will open at 7 pm, with the game starting at 8. The party is FREE and open to the public, though the team would love it if you’d RSVP on the Caps site so they can get an approximate headcount. Fans will be able to watch the game on the jumbotron, as well as mingle with Caps Alumni, the Red Rockers, and Slapshot. Concessions will be available for purchase and all playoff merch will be on sale for 25% off.
The Caps have hosted a plethora of viewing party events during the playoffs this season, including one at Gateway Park in Rosslyn for Game One, but this is the first time there has been a viewing party at Capital One Arena during the playoffs.
