The Washington Capitals are one win away from vanquishing the Penguins and advancing to the third round for the first time in Alex Ovechkin’s legendary career.
To celebrate Saturday’s Game Five win, Caps fans took a page from visiting Penguins fans’ book. They gathered on the steps of the National Portrait Gallery and chanted Let’s Go Caps and One More Game. They even burned a Terrible Towel.
As the crowd first took to the steps, they chanted something fun, but untrue about Sidney Crosby.
Next, Caps fans sang the riff of the White Stripes hit Seven Nation Army.
There was a powerful and emphatic One More Game chant.
So #Capitals fans took the steps back and are chanting “one more game”. I love when DC wins! #ALLCAPS @russianmachine pic.twitter.com/pQg8w8iPAH

And fans screamed Let’s Go Caps as cars honked on their way by.
One fan also lit a Terrible Towel on fire, which is dangerous and I do not ever recommend doing this.
