As has become tradition during the Ovechkin/Crosby Era, visiting Pittsburgh Penguins fans claimed the steps of the National Portrait Gallery after the Pens were victorious in Game One 3-2.
Hundreds of Pens fans gathered across the street of Capital One Arena cheering as Caps fans made their way home.

The fans started a LET’S GO PENS chant.
It never gets old! Let's Go Pens! #meetmeontheportraitgallerysteps #letsgopens #pens #capspens

There was also a YOU CAN’T BEAT US chant. One Penguins fan can be seen on video pretending to cry as if he were a Caps fan.
As much a tradition in the DC spring time as the Cherry Blossoms… and so disrespectful.

The Penguins even celebrated the tradition on their Twitter account.
