The Tonight Show’s Jimmy Fallon did another round of his NHL Superlatives, Friday, and a few players popular with Caps fans were featured.
Fallon joked about Alex Ovechkin’s caveman appearance. He also gave a fake award to former Capitals defenseman Nate Schmidt again.
The bit was to promote NBC’s NHL postseason coverage.
“Up for the Washington Capitals is Alex Ovechkin,” Fallon said as Ovechkin’s bio picture popped up on the screen. “He was voted Most likely to be standing next to a woolly mammoth in a diorama at the Natural History Museum.”
Next was Nate Schmidt.
“He was voted Most likely to be the evil judge from the end of ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit,’” Fallon joked.
The meme’d eyes image is from Judge Doom’s death scene.
Schmidt was featured previously in 2016. Fallon named the happy defenseman “most likely to puke rainbows when he opens his mouth.”
At the time, Schmidt said “that is my fame” and agreed it was the highlight of his life.
