The Washington Capitals concluded the 2017-18 season with a 5-3 win over the New Jersey Devils.
After the game, the team held their annual Jerseys Off Our Backs ceremony where each player gives away their game-worn sweater to fans. During the proceeding wait, Alex Ovechkin and Andre Burakovsky got impatient and started being stupid.
While John Carlson did a live TV interview with NBC Sports Washington’s Al Koken, Burakovsky ambled over with his black Sharpie and put a dot on the Capitals defenseman’s face.
Let’s zoom.
Yup. He totally got him.
When Carlson concluded the chat, he turned around to find the offending party. Alex Ovechkin was like I did not do it, fam. It was totally Burra.
Seconds later, Ovechkin pranked Burakovsky back, sharpie-ing him on the face.
And on further inspection, Burakovsky has two Sharpie marks on his face.
Ladies and gentlemen, your 2017-18 Washington Capitals.
