With Braden Holtby healthy, Capitals return Pheonix Copley to Hershey Bears

Nearly a week after suffering a minor injury against the Dallas Stars, Braden Holtby is fully healthy again.

Monday, the Capitals re-assigned the organization’s third-string goaltender, Pheonix Copley, back to the Hershey Bears. Copley served as a backup for two games to Philipp Grubauer, who started against Detroit and Montreal with Holtby out.

Grubauer will start against the New York Rangers tonight – his third straight start. Meanwhile, Holtby fully participated in practice.

“It’s progressing every day,” Braden Holtby said to Tarik El-Bashir. “It felt pretty good [during practice].”
