Keith Kinkaid sets up Chipotle date with fan in Twitter mentions

Keith Kinkaid recently became the de facto number one goaltender in New Jersey with Cory Schneider struggling. Kinkaid is 11-3-0 in his last 14 starts, featuring a .938 save percentage.

In fact, Kinkaid is playing with so much swagger that it’s translating to his Twitter account.

Thursday night, singer/songwriter Taylor Acorn tried to start a viral tweet, asking for retweets in exchange for a date with Kinkaid.

Except Kinkaid was not interested in such formalities. This was his response.

Taylor accepted.

So to recap: Over the last month, Kinkaid has become a starter and may no longer be single after potentially finding a girlfriend on Twitter. That’s goalie goals right there.

The response on Twitter has been ridiculous.

Meanwhile, setting up dates on Twitter with total strangers is not the only thing that has gotten Kinkaid attention on the social media site.

Kinkaid has been posting emoji recaps after games.

My favorite is his use of the 🐓 emoji.

March 28 update: The date happened.
