Nothing Alex Ovechkin does should surprise you anymore, and here’s another example of the crazy that is The Great 8.
After taking a beautiful breakout pass by Michal Kempny at center ice, the Russian machine ambled in on Carey Price all alone on a breakaway.
He fell down, but the play didn’t end there.
Laying face first on the ice, Ovechkin somehow got a shot off.
Ovi nearly beat Carey price to the far post.
Price barely stopped the puck with his left pad and skate.
So that was unreal.
This scoring chance comes from the same man who once scored upside down.
So in conclusion, Alex Ovechkin shoots harder laying on his chest than almost all people standing up straight. This man is a legend.
