Alex Ovechkin is 2,600 miles away from his beloved black lab Blake, but for a brief moment before Tuesday’s game he got the puppy love he needed. The Russian machine ran into a very good doggo before warmups and look how happy he is.

(I’m talking about Alex, not the dog.)

Ovechkin is a natural with dogs, but not so much with cats.

Yeah.

This man.

He’s definitely a dog guy.
