Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin is nearing his 600th career goal, a milestone only 19 other NHL players have ever reached.
Sitting at career goal number 598, Ovechkin spoke to Anaheim Ducks media and remained humble about the two goals he still needs to score.
Nicklas Backstrom wasn’t having any of it.
Via the Washington Post’s Isabelle Khurshudyan:
*reporters ask Ovechkin about 600 goals again*
Ovechkin: “It’s still two goals. It’s not easy to do …”
Backstrom, two stalls over and in a high-pitched voice: “You’ll get it tonight.”
Ovi: “When I play with Nick Backstrom, it’s much easier, especially he’s so hot right now.”

Anyway, these two are very cute and I can’t wait to see their buddy comedy or at least see them star in the next season of True Detective.
