After declining to indicate who would be in net for the Stadium Series game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday, head coach Barry Trotz has announced that Braden Holtby will start the game for the Caps.

Holtby has previously played in two outdoor games, competing outside in Hershey in 2012 and once again against the Blackhawks in the 2015 Winter Classic. Despite struggling throughout February, with a low .873 save percentage, he currently sits at a .908 save percentage for this season overall. This puts him at 34th in the league, compared to the Caps’ Philipp Grubauer, who currently sits at 13th overall with a .921 save percentage.
Holtby will be joined by Christian Djoos, who is back in the lineup after sitting out as a healthy scratch for numerous games.
