Thursday before flying to Pittsburgh, the Washington Capitals took to the ice wearing some new gear.
Capitals players broke in their Stadium Series pants and helmets, giving fans a partial preview of their March 3 outdoor game. The team will wear navy blue hockey pants featuring the W logo. The team’s helmets, also navy, sport the team’s shortened Caps logo on the side.

The designs appear to be popular. Stadium Series gear, which debuted on the NHL’s shop earlier in the month, has been flying off the shelves, with some items and some specific sizes of shirts and jerseys selling out already.
