Thursday night, the Capitals’ 4-3 shootout victory was somewhat historic as it marked the team’s 12th straight win over the Boston Bruins. According to TSN’s @StatsCentre, the winning streak tied a franchise record for the Capitals longest streak of victories against another team. It’s also the longest active win streak against a team in the NHL.
The winning against the Bruins has been equally as bountiful for Caps goaltender Braden Holtby, who the night before was in a Smolder Off with Henrik Lundqvist.
According to the Capitals, the Canadian goaltender is now 10-0-0 against the Bruins in his last ten starts, which includes a .946 save percentage and a 1.68 goals against average.
Wikipedia users, like they have done in the past, updated Holtby to be the team’s actual business owner after the game.

Unlike in the past, Holtby was not particularly impressive at times despite making 31 saves on 34 shots.
Holtby made an overaggressive play behind the net which almost led to a gimme goal in the first period.
Holtby also let a David Backes shot leak through his glove. The goal gave the Bruins a 3-2 lead late in the third period.
Regardless, Holtby and the Caps still won and these tweets are beautiful.
