Ovechkin gave Piqué one of his sticks. The Russian machine wore red camouflage leggings.
Piqué, who has 14.7 million followers on Instagram, is a teammate of Lionel Messi’s on FC Barcelona – one of Ovi’s favorite players. On Spain’s national team, Piqué played an integral role on the Spain team that won the 2010 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2012.
Piqué also has two children with Shakira.
During the game, Piqué sat behind the Caps bench, but was rooting for Rangers. The footballer brought his oldest boy, Milan, to the game (four-years-old).
In an Instagram story, Piqué recorded Alex Ovechkin’s shootout attempt. Ovechkin missed, which gave the Rangers the win.
