As it ramps up its promotion for the 2018 Winter Classic, the NHL is counting down the greatest Winter Classic moments of all time.
Wednesday, the NHL named Troy Brouwer’s game-winning goal with 12.9 seconds left in the 2015 Winter Classic as the fifth best moment.

The goal came against Brouwer’s former team, the Chicago Blackhawks, where he won the 2010 Stanley Cup.
Brouwer’s gloves from that famous goal now rest in the the RMNB Hall of Fame.
The league also featured all of the Capitals best moments from its outdoor history.

The New York Rangers and Buffalo Sabres will play in the 2018 Winter Classic at Citi Field at 1pm on New Year’s Day.
