Brett Connolly already owns one of the most awkward and humorous moments of the season after leaving Evgeny Kuznetsov hanging on a fist bump.
Now Connolly joins Chandler Stephenson on the exclusive list of Capitals players wiping out during a goal celebration.

In the third period, Connolly went five hole (great pass Dre) to tie the Caps up with the Stars 3-3.
The goal came 41 seconds after Alexander Radulov gave the Stars the lead and twirled his stick down the ice like he was Shooter McGavin.
Connolly had an equally huge goal celebration…
until he ate it skating away from his teammates’ group hug.
Oh my, this is me if I played in the NHL.
Connolly played it off well. And with two points, he had one of his biggest breakout games of the season.
