After notching an empty-net goal, Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson notched his first career four-point game (two goals, two assists) against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Wilson was named the first star of the game and after the final horn sounded, the Capitals forward spoke to NBCSN’s Pierre McGuire.

Pierre McGuire: “You’ve done something tonight that you’ve never done in a National Hockey League game. Do you know what it is?”
Tom Wilson: “Four points?”
Pierre McGuire: “That is correct. I know you did it in minor midget.”
Tom Wilson: “I can add. I can add.”
Wilson’s humor continued in the locker room. The burly winger teased Nicklas Backstrom on his 21-game goalless streak, which ended Wednesday in the first period.
Wilson said he and Ovechkin had a chat "in the bagel room" about getting Backstrom a goal tonight. The bagel room?!?!

Backstrom, after being told that Ovechkin and Wilson plotted to get him a goal: "They better.”

Wilson now has two goals and seven assists in his last 12 games and 13 points (4g, 9a) through 24 games this season. According to the Capitals PR, the Toronto native is on pace for his most productive offensive season since his 2015-16 (23 points, 7g, 16 a).
Wilson also became the first player in franchise history to record two consecutive three-point games against the Blackhawks (Jan. 13, 2017: 1 goal, 2 assists).
When you’re feeling it like Wilson is, it’s hard to control the sass.
