The Capitals are on the road to face the Predators in Nashville. The Preds are on a bit of a hot streak and hopefully, with the return of Matt Niskanen, the Caps will be able to squash it. Wait, did I just say the return of Matt Niskanen? You better believe it.
The Capitals will also have to watch out for PK Subban, not just because he made Forbes’ #30under30 list with none other than the glorious Braden Holtby, but he has also racked up three goals in the last four games. Montreal was so stupid to trade this man.
The game is at 8 PM airing on NBCSN. Good Tweet Pete has your recap. Let’s party.

Catchin’ Up
A few moves happened today and it is your civic duty to stay up-to-date with the latest news.
First, the Montreal Canadiens claimed goaltender Antti Niemi off waivers from the Florida Panthers. My favorite twitter is sad Habs fans twitter, so I love this move even though it is very bad for the Canadiens.

Second, the Tampa Bay Lighting acquired goaltender Louis Domingue from Arizona in exchange for goaltender Michael Leighton and forward Tye McGinn. Can you imagine being Domingue? From Arizona to Tampa Bay? From zero to sixty?
Storylines
- Listen, I didn’t think we would have to ever clarify this, but Tom Wilson is not dead.
- Did you see TJ Oshie‘s game-winning shootout goal from the Oilers game? Wanna watch it again and again and again? You can and you should.
- The Oilers game numbers post is from CFTC. Let him help break it all down for you.
- Mobile tickets for Caps games can now be listed on StubHub! Huzzah!
- The Caps assigned Tyler Graovac to the Hershey Bears on a long-term conditioning loan. If you don’t know what that means or if you’re a hardcore Tyler GraoFAN, you can read all about it thanks to Rachel.
- Braden Holtby got the NHL’s third star of the week, but I find it imperative that I remind all of you he has the first star of the week in our hearts. Have I made this joke? Yes. Will I continue to use it? You betcha.
- Every single time two hockey players start to fight, one of my favorite things to do is yell “kiss him!” and it actually happened. Brad Marchand gave Leo Komarov a lil’ peck on the cheek to probably signal the beginning of their courtship.
- Keith Yandle? More like Keith YAY-dle because he did something pretty cool for breast cancer awareness.
- Are you going to the game on November 18 against the Minnesota Wild? BRING NON-PERISHABLE ITEMS WITH YOU AND YOU CAN GET A POSTER. THIS IS A WIN-WIN SITUATION.
Cute Sign
Yay Matt Niskanen is back. Yay for this cute sign by Jake Bedsaul (via Chris O’Kane). Yay what a day.
