Two nights after being unable to come to an agreement, the Colorado Avalanche, Ottawa Senators, and Nashville Predators have put pen to paper on a blockbuster deal.
According to Elliotte Friedman, Matt Duchene is headed to Ottawa, Kyle Turris is going to Nashville, and a wheelbarrow full of prospects and picks are headed to the Colorado Avalanche.
The Avalanche will get Jonathan Toews-favorite Shane Bowers (forward), Andrew Hammond (goalie), first and third round picks from the Ottawa Senators and a second-round pick, Samuel Girard (defenseman), and Vladislav Kamenev (forward) from the Nashville Predators.
Talks of a potential three-way deal all started Friday night according Darren Dreger.
It's believed Ott/Col/Nash were in discussions on 3 way trade involving Matt Duchene going to Sens. Talks have ended. No deal.

But it never came to fruition.
Should add that as @DarrenDreger mentioned…appears to be dead now

However, Sunday as the Colorado Avalanche took on the New York Islanders, something was clearly up as Matt Duchene tried to subtlety leave the ice along with an injured player.

Duchene couldn’t leave the game and go to the locker room via the bench so he had to wait for play to be whistled dead.
The Avalanche already had Duchene’s bags packed.

Duchene was spotted by cameras leaving the arena in street clothes.

He spoke to reporters as he walked out.
Finally, the trade eked out several minutes later.
Duchene to OTT. Turris to NASH with a 6×6 extension. COL gets Girard, Kamenev, Bowers, Hammond, a 1st (OTT), a 2nd (NASH) and a 3rd (OTT).

Here’s a graph of all the moving pieces.
Kyle Turris immediately signed a six-year $36 million extension with the Predators.
Turris is signing a 6 years, $36M deal in NASH

The takeaways?
Takeaways: NASH is alllllllllllll-in for 2018. OTT badly wanted Duchene. COL continues to rebuild, adds a lot of future and cap space.
