On Saturday night, the Hershey Bears rallied to a 4-2 victory over reigning Calder Cup champions, the Grand Rapids Griffins, in their first win of the 2017-18 season. While Chandler Stephenson had an exciting night, registering his first AHL hat trick, Connor Hobbs had a rousing game himself, engaging in his first career AHL fight.
With the game tied at one apiece and just under six minutes left in the second period, the 20-year-old Hobbs landed a big hit on Griffins forward Dominik Shine in the neutral zone. Angry about being blown up into the boards, Shine retaliated with a cross check.
He would regret it.

The two would fight and Hobbs landed three consecutive counter punches, the final of which KO’d Shine to the ice.
Hobbs’ face says it all.
