Thursday morning the Capitals narrowed down their training camp roster to 26, sending defensemen Tyler Lewington and Jonas Siegenthaler, forward Travis Boyd, and goalie Phoenix Copley to Hershey.
In addition, Zach Sill and Liam O’Brien, who were placed on waivers Tuesday afternoon, cleared and will also report to Hershey. The Bears kicked off their preseason last night, defeating the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins at home 5-1.

The moves leave the team with eight defenders, putting Madison Bowey, Aaron Ness, Christian Djoos, and Taylor Chorney in a fight for what we’d assume is three roster spots.
Here is the current training camp roster. The Caps must whittle the team down 23 players before the October 3 deadline next week.
