For some hardcore Capitals fans, hockey is not just a hobby, it’s something their lives revolve around.
Tuesday night, Sonia Kendall, who you may remember from the 43/83 Weagle jersey foul last season, showed off another example of her unparalleled passion for the Caps.
At Shepke Studios in Pasadena, Maryland, Sonia her third Capitals-related tattoo inked onto her body.

Sonia also got an infinity hockey tattoo as well.
I asked Sonia about her new ink and this is what she told me.
The Infinity one was just a generic one I had seen online, I like it because it shows an everlasting love for hockey!
I already have the WEAGLE on my left wrist and the Capitals logo on the right wrist but wanted another Caps related tattoo. I couldn’t decide what to get, but saw some pictures of other NHL related tattoos with the ripped skin look. I couldn’t find one with the Capitals logo specifically so I asked my tattoo artist, Kevin Shepke, from Shepke Studios in Pasadena, Maryland ,if he could create one.
Not only did he, but he did such an amazing job with it. The outline that he put on my arm initially looked like a jumbled mess, at least to me. He even had to label the ‘skin’ parts for the ripped skin so that they were easily identifiable as he went to work.
Starting from his black and white drawing to the finished product is just amazing work and shows his true talent as an artist! I made the appointment back in June, and the first appointment available was today, that’s how popular he is.
Knowing how anxious I was to get this done, I had someone recommend a different tattoo shop to me, but there was no way I was going to risk it knowing Kevin’s work would be the best. Besides it almost felt like I would have been cheating on him. Those with dedicated tattoo artists would understand! Let’s Go Caps! Ready to start this season and have an awesome year!
Sonia’s previous two Capitals tattoos include a Weagle on her left wrist and the Capitals main logo on her right.
