The NHL Department of Player Safety has suspended Tom Wilson two preseason games for his hit on Robert Thomas of the St Louis Blues.

Wilson has never been suspended before.
The suspension is reminiscent of the one Andrew Shaw’s last season for boarding Connor Hobbs. Shaw fought Nathan Walker after that hit.
