Lars Eller is taking his offseason workouts to the next level.
Wednesday at Montreal’s Adrenaline Performance Center, Eller shadowed one of the greatest NFL wide receivers of all time, Terrell Owens, during a drill to work on his speed and agility. The Capitals third-line center kept up with Owens for a few seconds before getting dusted at the end.
This is still an accomplishment.
For instance, Eller faired way better than Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang, whose ankles were broken at the beginning of the drill.
When @terrellowens breaks your ankles ….. 43 and he should still be playing #fast feet

Owens was kind and gave a shoutout to Letang on his Twitter Tuesday.
Great work today with the @NHL Champ! I think I'm ready for hockey. #Not 😂 @Penguins #apcgym #Montreal https://t.co/Je58biLSzv

It’s unclear why Owens is in Montreal training NHL players, but if this makes The Great Dane even greater, we thank him in advance.
