Over the summer, many NHL players participate in organized summer leagues to get one final tune-up before training camp. One of these leagues is called Da Beauty League. Formed in 2015, the league has six teams featuring NHL players and prospects including Dustin Byfuglien, Jake Guentzel, Anders Lee and the van Reimsdyk brothers.
The Capitals also have some familiar names participating this summer including Taylor Chorney, Shane Gersich, Travis Boyd, Aaron Ness, Matt Hendricks, and Nate Schmidt.

Taylor Chorney captained his Da Beauty League team to a championship last summer and won a trophy that resembles a keg.
Da Beauty League games take place at Braemar Arena outside Minneapolis, Minnesota. Tickets for the games can be purchased online or at the arena on game day. Season passes for all 10 nights run $50 while a three-game single night ticket goes for $10. A portion of ticket sale proceeds will benefit the United Heroes League and Shine a Ligh7 Foundation. The website does have a disclaimer that states: “Remember, your favorite Beauty is sometimes unavailable to play due to Summer vacationing and other beautiful activities.”
Da Beauty League only has two official rules.
Rule #1: Have Fun!
Rule #2: No room for Non-Beauties
Other more non-official rules include:
