The wait is finally over. After a day full of leaks, Adidas, the new official outfitter of the NHL, formally released their jersey designs for the 2017-18 season.
The Washington Capitals new sweater has minimal changes. While none of the team’s logos were changed, the team’s secondary Weagle logo was moved up higher on the shoulder. There is also a stripe pointing towards the collar and different striping down the arm and midsection. Meanwhile, the NHL’s shield has been redesigned and is now more embossed and texturized.
Reebok’s V neckline has been removed in favor of a more of a circular drooping collar. The jerseys, which are made with a more breathable mesh fabric, are less structured and free form than last year’s jerseys.
Here’s a closer look.

Adidas also released their first NHL hats for Draft Day. The hats, which use the same jersey fabric as the sweaters, feature the each team’s primary colors as stripes on the left hand side.
What do you guys think?
