After the Predators defeated the Penguins 5-1 in Game Three, a chirping PK Subban escorted two Penguins players off the ice. First, Subban had words with rookie Jake Guentzel before having an animated conversation with the best player in hockey, Sidney Crosby.
Subban was interviewed afterwards by Pierre McGuire and asked about what was said.

“He told me my breath smelled,” Subban said joking. “But I mean, I used some Listerine before the game, so I don’t know what he’s talking about.”
Subban smiled and skated off the ice.

Subban was also asked about the incident inside the locker room.
“I’ve done two interviews already, and I’ve said the same thing in the other two,” Subban said according to Greg Wyshynski. “Usually when guys chirp after the game or during the game, it’s usually about your game or something personal. He went on to tell me that my breath smelled bad, and I really don’t understand why, because I use Listerine before the game. I thought my breath smelled great. But at the end of the day, we’re just going to take the win and move on.”
I’m not sure what we did to deserve this man, but he is a saint.
