Caps almost injure Braden Holtby before biggest game of the year

A scary moment occurred in Wednesday morning’s Capitals practice ahead of Game Four in Toronto. Marcus Johansson accidentally skated into Braden Holtby, causing the two players to collide.

Holtby was struck in the head.

That does not look good.

The practice went dead quiet after the collision.

According to Pierre LeBrun, Holtby laughed it off when speaking to reporters after the morning skate.

Barry Trotz admitted to being very concerned.

Everyone apparently is fine, but I won’t lie to you and say I didn’t have a minor heart attack while reading a tweet like this.

Injuring your goaltender in practice ahead of the biggest game of the season would be such a Caps thing to do.
