Evgeny Kuznetsov was ice cold during last season’s playoffs, but he’s starting to warm up against the Leafs.
In the second period, Kuzy caught a nice rebound off Marcus Johansson’s shot to sink a goal from no angle.

Here’s Marcus rushing up the ice, getting the shot loose. Andersen has it covered, but Kuznetsov sailed to the perfect spot. A shot with alacrity extends the Caps lead.
After scoring, Kuznetsov did the bird walk celly he first debuted during the World Cup of Hockey in September.
It’s Kuznetsov’s first goal of the playoffs.
