The Caps’ comeback effort continues off the stick of Daniel Winnik, who has just hit a career high in goals.

The initial effort came from Tom Wilson, whose shot got turned away. But it found Winnik on the bounce, and a quick scoop is all it needed to hit the back of the net.
Winnik played 202 games for the Coyotes at the beginning of his career. He scored 11 goals in his rookie year. With his goal against his former team on Friday, Winnik has now passed that mark.
According to Daniel’s wife Taylor, the hairy Caps forward recently shaved off his beard because he thought it would change things up and give him good luck.
It worked. After scoring 11 goals twice before, Winnik finally got over the hump in his tenth season pro. Congratulations.
