The Capitals are still in beautiful California on their west coast road trip while most of us are stuck in the 35 degree weather area of the District of Columbia with a forecast predicting up to a foot of snow. Yay…
More bad news. The Kings just like their California counterpart San Jose Sharks are very good against the Capitals at home. The last time DC took all the points in LA was in 2005, Jamie Heward had two goals and Steve Eminger was your leading ice-time man. Good times…?
Puck drop is at 10:30 PM on CSN+. This game will end tomorrow.

Storylines
- A Penguins fan made a homeless man’s day by inviting him to catch a good ole game of puck. I mean, I guess not all Penguins fans are evil.
- Kevin Shattenkirk turns puck over, immediately repays debt by unleashing a hip of fury on Sharks forward Jannik Hansen.
- Potential Capitals first round playoff opponent the Tampa Bay Lightning just cannot seem to keep the injury bug away. They lost three centers all in the same game.
- As you can see above in our projected lines, Barry Trotz is mixing and matching his line combinations for tonight’s Kings game. Lets hope it can spark some needed offense.
- The Caps broadcast team made a visit to the set of Wheel of Fortune with the show’s host and noted Capitals fan, Pat Sajak.
- Another hockey unicorn was birthed last night in Calgary as Alex Galchenyuk’s stick got stuck in the visor of Flames forward Matthew Tkachuk.
- RMNB’s Elyse Bailey gives her plea to those who support the Washington Redskins to come watch some hockey. You’ll still get your heart broken, but it’ll be more fun on the way there.
- The best hockey web analyst out there, Peter Hassett, lets you know that the bye week blues is a myth and we’re just going through some luck regression.
- The return of #TopSixTom is once again upon us. He joins a Russian duo tonight in LA on the second line.
Survivor
One of my favorite competitive reality TV shows is back every Wednesday and it’s an all-star season. Give it a chance if you haven’t already. It’s awesome. (Make sure you have both headphones in for this video).
