Good morning, hockey fans. If you stayed awake into the wee hours of Friday, you got to watch a fast-paced, evenly matched game between two good teams. It would have been even nicer if the Caps had won. Or if you didn’t have work in like 5 hours.
Daniel Winnik started the scoring with a nifty assist by Beagle, but Thornton struck back not long after. The second period saw goals by Pavelski and Connolly, but a pair of power-play goals by Couture before and after the second intermission gave the Sharks enough margin for the win.
Sharks beat Caps 4-2. The Caps never win in San Jose. It is written.

According to #RMNBAfterDark tradition, I leave you with a selection of pets who fell asleep while we stayed up.
