1:19 into the third period, the Flyers took a 1-0 lead after Sean Couturier deflected Matt Read’s wrist shot past Braden Holtby. 1:21 later, Dmitry Orlov answered and wrestled back the momentum for the Capitals.
After forcing a turnover in the neutral zone, Orlov skated into the Flyers zone and unleashed a hailmary slapshot from the middle of the ice.
The goal was Orlov’s fifth scoarlov of the year.

The goal was pretty.
But the passionate fist-pumping from one knee was even better.
The goal gave Orlov 29 points on the season, which tied his career high set last season. Orlov has 18 games left in the season to surpass the mark.
Orlov also had another good night defensively, tilting the ice the Caps direction. Orlov finished with a 55.56% Corsi (20 shots for, 16 shots against) at even strength.
