Tom Wilson appears to get head sliced by skate, fights Mike Fisher minutes later (Video)

Tom Wilson was involved in a scary moment during the third period, where the back of his head was potentially sliced open by a skate.

Several shifts later, after getting repairs from Capitals Head Athletic Trainer Greg Smith, Wilson dropped the gloves with Mr. Carrie Underwood himself, Mike Fisher.

What a violent and tough gentleman.

As forward Viktor Arvidsson and Wilson battled for a loose puck in the Capitals offensive zone, the two skaters fell to the ice.

Arvidsson’s left skate struck the back of Wilson’s head, bloodying the Caps forward.

Wilson felt the back of his head as he skated back to the bench, noticing the blood.

Smith later tended to Wilson’s cut while examining the back of his head.

Several game minutes later, Wilson dropped the gloves with Predators captain Mike Fisher in an intense fight.

Wilson finished the game with a goal, five hits, and nine penalty minutes. He was only an assist away from a Gordie Howe hat trick.
