To conclude her trip in Washington DC, the Capitals had Fatima Al Ali drop the puck during the team’s ceremonial faceoff Thursday against the Red Wings. After Fatima dropped the puck, she asked Alex Ovechkin and Henrik Zetterberg to take a selfie. The two players obliged.

According to CSN Mid-Atlantic, Fatima was determined to take the photo and had the idea before she even got to the faceoff dot.
“I had it all the time,” she said. “I was like, can I do it or not? It’s just an idea and I’m happy it worked.”
