Holding a grudge: Tom Wilson wallops Antoine Roussel with big hit (GIFs)

Tom Wilson and Antoine Roussel each fought in the first period of Saturday’s game, but with different partners. Roussel face and Wilson’s fists were each bloodied, but neither left the game.

And that’s just not sufficient for Wilson. In the second period, he laid a huge hit on Roussel.

Roussel was trying to dump the puck in and Wilson just wasn’t having it. Wilson lines up the hit near center ice, builds speed, and unleashes hell.

Roussel goes flying.

CSN Mid-Atlantic’s Craig Laughlin called it the NHL’s “hit of the week.”

The Stars attack continued unabated. Caps goalie Philipp Grubauer had to make a flashy glove save. And a few moments later, Brett Connolly boarded Jordie Benn.

So yeah, things are getting tense in Dallas.
