As The Human Emoji tried to curl on the wing, he tripped over himself and fell over. But before he did, Schmidt swept the puck towards the crease, where Wilson easily finished the job.

The goal gave the Caps what should likely be an insurmountable 4-0 lead. It also gave Tom Wilson his first multi-point game since Feburary 9, 2016 against Nashville. He now has six points on the season.

Meanwhile, Nate Schmidt has been nearly unstoppable since returning to the lineup for Taylor Chorney. Schmidt has four points in his last five games (1/5-1/13: 1g, 3a).
