Auston Matthews scored four goals in his NHL debut, and he hasn’t looked back since.
Tuesday night at Verizon Center, the young superstar tallied his most beautiful assist of his career, finding Leo Komarov in the slot after some insane dangling.
This kid is really, really good.
The play started with Matthews spinning and forechecking around one of the best defensive towards in the game, Nicklas Backstrom.
As Matthews skates behind the net, he does another spin, but this time passing the puck back into the slot to Komarov.
This is incredible.
Even more incredible? How Komarov patted Orpik on his shoulder like “Nice try, man.”
