Last game, the Caps had a hard time scoring against the Devils, but Brett Connolly got them on the board early on New Year’s Eve. And it was all made possible by a lovely pass from 2016’s perfect bouncing baby boy, Andre Burakovsky.

Connolly drives hard to the net, while Burakovsky makes the play. The finish is strong.
But seriously, check out this pass. Burakovsky needles the puck perfectly past two Devils defenders and hits Connolly in stride.
The goal was Connolly’s 4th of the season and Burakovsky’s 10th assist. That’s exactly how we want these Caps playing. The third line has been playing excellently for a long time. It’s good to see it rewarded on the scoreboard.
