Last week, Barry Trotz called Jay Beagle “Mr. Fix It,” insinuating that the Canadian was the team’s solution when things are dire.
That confuses me, but so does this incredible pass Beagle made to give Daniel Winnik his fourth goal of the season.

After a great play by Tom Wilson on the half-wall, Caps grinders Jay Beagle and Daniel Winnik were sprung on an odd-man rush. Once Beagle entered the offensive zone, he stopped being a fourth line center and morphed into Wayne Gretzky, saucing a pass right onto Daniel Winnik’s stick.
Boom. Goal!
The goal gave the Caps a 3-0 lead at the time. Let’s just not talk about what happened afterwards.
