The Washington Capitals nearly forgot how to score there. They had the puck in Tampa on Saturday night, but they just couldn’t muster much danger for Ben Bishop. For a while, it seemed as if Nikita Kucherov‘s goal would be enough to drop the Caps, but Nick Backstrom injected life with a power play marker in the third.
Overtime gave us nothing, and the Bolts won it in the shootout.
Shootout Bullets!
- Drouin didn’t put the biscuit in the basket.
- Kuznetsov put the biscuit in the basket! Oshie-esque!
- Point put the biscuit in the basket.
- Backstrom didn’t put the biscuit in the basket.
- Kucherov didn’t put the biscuit in the basket.
- Ovechkin didn’t put the biscuit in the basket.
- Boyle put the biscuit in the basket.
- Johansson didn’t put the biscuit in the basket.
Meanwhile, Alex Ovechkin keeps getting minor penalties, John Carlson fired a team-high six shots on goal, and Braden Holtby is the best.
“Highlights”
It wasn’t a good game, but shout-out to Derek to repping us in Tampa.
