Two very sad teams are facing off this evening. In their last two games, the Caps lost bad to both the Islanders and the Maple Leafs. Now, they will be in Tampa Bay to play the Lightning, who are coming off a three-game road trip with zero wins. Both will be looking to break this depressing streak, especially Washington during their power play. Yikes.
Currently, Tampa Bay is sitting fourth in the Atlantic division which is exactly where the Caps are in theirs. While Washington might be currently sitting in the same spot, that doesn’t mean they’re equal especially considering Tampa Bay has played three more games. The Lightning are also at a slight disadvantage with their empty captain spot. Steven Stamkos is hurt and not expected to play for about the next four months.
We begin at 7:00 PM on CSN.
| Team | Record | Possession | PDO | Power Play | Penalty Kill |
| Tampa Bay Lightning | 13-11-1 | 49.45% | 101.0 | 23.9% | 81.3% |
| Washington Capitals | 13-7-2 | 53.66% | 100.3 | 14.3% | 83.1% |

Holiday Movies
It’s December and I am desperately trying to get into the holiday spirit despite the warm weather. So, let’s rank the best holiday movies.
I celebrate Christmas, so I don’t have any great Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Three Kings Day, etc. films but please chime in with them!
- Christmas Vacation. I love 80s movies and it makes my dad laugh.
- A Christmas Story. Again, 80s movies and it’s super quotable.
- The Santa Clause. I feel like this is the most underrated of Christmas movies. Tim Allen is comforting to me for some reason and the movies continued with the same cast. It’s great.
- Elf. Elf is fine. Elf is kinda overhyped sometimes, but it makes everyone happy. Also I think I might be in the minority that still thinks Will Ferrell is funny.
- Charlie Brown Christmas. Pure classic. The theme music takes you back.
- BONUS: The Holiday. I will take this over Love Actually any day. I don’t think Love Actually is great, so in terms of holiday chick flicks, this one is better. But I’ll probably have too much bourbon one night and watch those bad Hallmark movies too.
