TJ Oshie puts hand up on glass to say hello to daughter Lyla

Caps dad TJ Oshie showed off his fatherly instincts at a recent practice at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. According to reader Autumn Hall, Lauren Oshie and her daughter Lyla came to watch the team’s skate along with Mandy Alzner and her daughter Stella. Towards the end of the practice, TJ skated over to the glass where the two families were sitting and something adorable happened.

As Lyla jumped up and down, her father put his hand on the glass, looking for his daughter to reciprocate. Eventually their hands met and then TJ blew kisses to his daughter. Not wanting the two kids to go home empty handed, he tossed both of the Caps kids pucks over the glass.

This isn’t the first time TJ and daughter Lyla have done this routine. Last year, TJ’s wife Lauren posted an adorable photo on Instagram of Lyla and TJ putting their hands on the glass.
