Six-time Rocket Richard Trophy winner Alex Ovechkin has been named an early favorite to win the award yet again. With 2/1 odds, Bovada has Ovechkin beating out the likes of Vladimir Tarasenko, Patrick Kane, and Steven Stamkos. Should Ovechkin score more goals than any other player this season, he’ll win the award for five consecutive seasons.
Ovechkin was also Bovada’s third-favorite pick to win the Hart Memorial Trophy with 17/2 odds. Beating him out were Sidney Crosby (7/2) and Patrick Kane (7/1). Ovechkin’s odds of winning the Art Ross Trophy were 15/1, trailing Crosby, Kane, Jamie Benn, Connor McDavid, and John Tavares.
Alex Ovehckin, Nicklas Backstrom, and Evgeny Kuznetsov were listed as potential Art Ross winners, coming in at 15/1, 25/1, and 60/1, respectively.
And to no one’s surprise, Braden Holtby is considered a contender for the Vezina Trophy. Having won the award this past season, Holtby is listed at 5/1. With 7/2 odds, Carey Price is Kukla’s top pick for the Vezina–Holtby comes in second.
